140 was one of the early triumphs of celebrated Bay Area architect Timothy Pflueger. Over the ensuing decades, Pflueger went on to design or consult on many of San Francisco’s landmark projects, including 450 Sutter, the Castro Theater, the Pacific Stock Exchange, Union Square, and the Treasure Island World Exposition.

140 also contains the craftsmanship of Mark Goodman, whose hand-painted plaster ceiling stamps 140’s dramatic lobby as a place for art, expression, and inspiration.
